2.1 Information You Provide Voluntarily

When you submit an appointment request through our Site, we collect:

2.3 Automatically Collected Information

When you visit our Site, we use Google Analytics (Google Tag Manager ID: G-EBNOTARY) to collect anonymized usage data, including pages visited, time on site, browser type, and approximate geographic location. This data does not personally identify you. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. 3a. Phone & SMS Communications

Collection of Phone Numbers

We collect your mobile phone number when you submit an appointment request. Your phone number is used solely to contact you regarding your appointment and the services you requested. We do not sell, share, or rent your phone number to third parties for marketing purposes.

SMS Text Messages

If you opt in to SMS communications by checking the SMS consent box on our appointment request form, you agree to receive text messages from Efficient Biometrics (BB Infotech Inc.) at the mobile number provided. SMS messages will be used for:

  • Appointment confirmation and reminders
  • Follow-up on your service request
  • Responses to inquiries you initiate via text
  • Follow-up for feedback about service provided

Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on your appointment activity, typically 1–3 messages per appointment request.
Message & data rates: Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. We are not responsible for any charges your carrier applies.
Opt-out: You may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to any text message from us. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message. To re-subscribe, reply START.

Consent is not a condition of service. You are not required to consent to receive SMS messages to book an appointment or use any of our services.

Phone Calls

If you opt in to phone call communications, you consent to receive voice calls from us at the number provided for appointment confirmation and service-related purposes. We do not make automated marketing calls. You may withdraw consent at any time by notifying us at 847-436-5222 or info@EfficientBiometrics.com.

Do-Not-Call / Opt-Out Requests

If you wish to stop receiving calls or texts from us, you may:

  • Reply STOP to any SMS from us
  • Call or text us at 847-436-5222 to request removal
  • Email info@EfficientBiometrics.com with "OPT OUT" in the subject line

We will honor opt-out requests promptly. Note that we may still contact you if necessary to fulfill an existing, confirmed service appointment.

4. Biometric Data

As a licensed fingerprint vendor in Illinois, we collect biometric identifiers (fingerprints) in the course of providing fingerprinting services. The collection, storage, and destruction of biometric data is governed by our separate Biometrics Retention and Destruction Policy, published in compliance with the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA, 740 ILCS 14/) and Section 1240.535(c)(8) of the Illinois Administrative Code.

Key points from that policy:

  • Biometric data is retained for up to 60 days from the date of capture, unless a specific agency contract requires a different period
  • Data is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • After the retention period, data is permanently and securely deleted
  • We do not sell or profit from biometric data

5. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Government agencies: Fingerprint data and related demographic information is transmitted to the appropriate agency (e.g., Illinois State Police, IDFPR, FBI) as required to fulfill your service request
  • Service communications: Appointment details are transmitted internally via email notification to our staff to fulfill your request
  • Legal obligation: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, subpoena, or valid legal process
  • Business transfer: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your information may transfer to the successor entity, subject to the same privacy protections described in this policy

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information for advertising or marketing purposes.

6. Data Retention

Appointment request data (name, contact details, service information) is retained in our database for the duration of our business relationship and as needed for operational and legal purposes. Biometric data retention is governed by our Biometrics Retention and Destruction Policy.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. These measures include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), encrypted data storage, and restricted access to personal records. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights (Illinois Residents)

Under applicable Illinois law, including BIPA, you may have rights regarding your biometric data. You may:

  • Request information about the biometric data we have collected from you
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information we hold
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to our legal retention obligations

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
